Comprehensive delivery from concept to operation
Independent Care’s principals have led the full lifecycle delivery of multiple acute independent hospitals, from initial concept and design through development, project management, equipping, commissioning, and operational management.
With over 30 years of experience, we have consistently shaped and delivered innovative models of private healthcare. The business has played a pivotal role as an innovator, co-founder, investor, developer, and operator behind some of the UK’s most successful independent hospitals. Notably, all but two of the hospitals it has established have gone on to be acquired into the property portfolios of the UK’s leading hospital groups, demonstrating a strong track record of value creation and delivery.
This includes flagship facilities such as One Healthcare Group’s hospitals in Ashford, Kent and Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

Comments from patients at One Ashford:
Thank you all for looking after me so well. I’ve not long lost my husband and I found it very emotional to wake up and he wasn’t there. The nurse in recovery was very sympathetic and helped me through it, bless her.
The treatment was 10/10. The specialists in all fields were exceptional, the nurses were so good at their jobs and were so caring, they went above and beyond to help me with everything I couldn’t do for myself. I almost wanted to stay longer. Thanks for everything the team who looked after me so well.
Had 2 hip replacements at the One. First in October sand then in January. First class treatment both times. Would not hesitate to go there again if ever need be.

Kings College Hospital, London
Capital cost £25m, size 3,450m2
Independent Care’s key design partner P+HS Architects worked with principal contractor, premier Modular and Client team at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to create a new dedicated home for outpatient services as part of the Trust’s Modernising Medicine Programme.
The new, 4-storey, Willowfield Building is a purpose-built centre
that has allowed a range of patient services to be relocated Size and consolidated, creating space in the main hospital building 3,450m2 and reducing wait times, improving the overall experience for patients visiting the hospital for urgent care. Outpatient services include dermatology, rheumatology, respiratory, neurosciences,
pain, and urology as well as some aspects of surgery and

Due to Modular construction from Premier Modular,

disruption to the area.
The Willowfield Building was declared Project of the Year at the MMC Awards 2023.
